Welcome!

Welcome to the Turnkey Projects course!

Turnkey is just one of several contractual modes of entry into a market. Sure, turnkey projects are done domestically, but let us focus on the international dimension.
Turnkey projects are also known as "build-operate-transfer" (BOT) projects (link), and Public-Public Partnerships (PPPs).

This course will not include much lecturing, so it is up to your efforts - the idea is for you to present your findings and analyze the cases at hand, sharing to the others your analysis. It requires some work from you over the next 6 weeks as we wrap things up March 6-8th, but remember with your effort we could likely finish this off without an exam :-)  The idea of this course will be to apply the principles you have learned over the past 5 years.

January 21 - kickoff
March 6th - student group exercises completed and ready for informal presentation and discussion
March 7th - student group case presentations and discussion
March 8th (last day of course)- student group case presentations and discussion

Evaluation will include participation in class, the case analyses, and likely 1 other exercise, all done in groups.
I reserve the right to keep an exam, but with this being your final year, I feel a good applied case study and exercise with in-class discussion will be enough for the evaluation.  The idea is you will learn from each other in this course and you will become the 'experts'.

I will reserve some of the class hours (allocated in March) for group coaching sessions if the groups want to meet me for guidance and coaching before the presentations. This would be good to do once you have all completed some milestones in your groupwork: for example  in the 11FEB-20FEB timeframe.
